When running a business based on living individuals, the rhythm of nature, and human interaction, everything must rest on something more than just activities and experiences. For us at Måsek's, our core values are not something that sits in a binder or on a shelf. It's something we live every day — in every encounter, every tour, every dog, and every guest.
We have formulated our core values into five parts that together support the entire operation. They are simple, but they mean everything to us.
🐾 Animal Welfare – care in every detail
Our dogs are our family and our pride. With over 50 years of combined experience with polar dogs, we know what it takes for them to thrive, develop, and feel secure. Every day is about love, care, stimulation, and allowing guests to participate in the care that is so natural to us.
🌿 Respect – for nature and the right of public access
All our operations are based on our ability to move freely in nature. Therefore, respect for the forest, animals, and the right of public access is one of our strongest cornerstones. We teach rights and obligations, we move carefully, and we never leave any traces behind. Nature is our workplace — and our responsibility.
🤝 Welcoming – everyone should feel at home
Here, everyone should feel seen and included. We meet each guest with warmth and curiosity, and we adapt our activities as far as possible to their needs and wishes. Differences are a strength, and we want every visit to feel personal and authentic.
📚 Learning – to understand the dogs and the bigger picture
We love to share our knowledge. During our activities, we talk about the history of the breed, pack behavior, dog sledding, animal husbandry, and the right of public access, among other things. For us, it's important that guests not only have an experience — but also an understanding of what lies behind it.
🛡️ Safety – security at every step
Safety is the foundation of everything we do. We work with a well-thought-out safety concept in every step, we inform our guests, and we cancel tours if conditions are not safe. It's never a difficult decision — safety always comes first.
This is our core value. It's what makes our guests feel safe, welcome, and involved. And it's what ensures our dogs thrive and that nature continues to be a place we can share with others.
