    During our stay in Dalarna, we went on a husky hike at Masek's kennel, and this was undoubtedly one of the highlights of our trip to Sweden.
    From the very first moment, we received a warm welcome and a clear explanation about the dogs, their care, and their lives as sled dogs. What was particularly striking was the passion and dedication with which the owners interact with their huskies. You immediately see that the welfare of the dogs is central here.
    The walk itself was fantastic. It was special to get to know the dogs up close and explore the beautiful Swedish nature with them. The huskies were enthusiastic, energetic, and incredibly friendly. There was also plenty of time to ask questions, take photos, and cuddle the dogs.
    What made this experience extra special was the personal approach. It didn't feel like a tourist attraction, but rather an authentic introduction to the lives of the huskies and their handlers.
    For anyone staying in the Furudal or Dalarna region, we highly recommend a visit to Masek's kennel. Whether you are a dog lover or just looking for a unique activity in nature, this is an experience you won't soon forget.

  • Well organized, we got good contact with the dogs when we got to feed them, unharness them, and walk them to the dog yard.
    A wonderful experience! Excellent treatment from Annika and Pär, who are truly passionate about this and succeed in conveying a warm feeling. A tailor-made co-creative experience. The children were very happy and learned about dog etiquette, helped to unharness, cuddled with the dogs, and fed them. It's clear the dogs are living their best lives and are the focus. As far from a conveyor-belt tourist experience as you can get. Thank you!

At Annika and Pär you will have a close encounter with Siberian huskies, the fantastic World Cup heroes, throughout the year. Powerful Husky hiking tours, adrenaline-filled tours with Dogscooter, exciting Kennel visits and of course Dog sledding in the winter.

At Måsek's, the welfare of the animals and the safety of our guests are always in focus.

In extreme weather conditions such as heat waves or icy roads, tours may need to be adjusted.

For over 30 years, sled dogs have been a part of our lives – training, competitions, and daily life with the pack.
Together with our dogs, we have won World Championship gold, silver, and bronze. Today, we welcome a few guests at a time and let them experience the same.
