När flocken förändras – och lugnet lägger sig över gården

When the flock changes – and peace settles over the farm

Tonight, something happened in the dog yards that we both felt immediately. It's been a few days with a bit more whimpering, a bit more howling, a bit more "something is happening" in the pack. We haven't quite known why – but the dogs have sensed something that we humans don't always understand right away.

But tonight… it was different.

When we went out to feed, it was as if the whole yard had taken a deep breath. A calm lay over the dog yards. Their gazes were softer, their movements slower, and the whiny little sounds that had been in the air were gone.

We let Mys and Fia out and sat down with them. And there, in that moment of closeness, we felt something that made us both warm and a little excited:

It feels like Mys is starting to get a little puppy belly.

How wonderful that Mys was born with us and now she will most likely become a mother herself. The picture is Mys as a puppy, how we long for her.

She has a few weeks left, but there's something in her that has already changed. A calm. A security. A certainty. It's as if she already knows what awaits her – and as if the pack feels it just as clearly as we do. It's in moments like these that you feel how closely we live with the pack

Dogs are incredible that way. They read each other, sense energies, rank, changes. And a female dog expecting puppies… she carries something that spreads through the entire pack. A softer tone. A different kind of respect.

We believe that's exactly what has happened now. That Mys, with her growing belly and calm, has already begun to rise in rank. That the pack feels it. That they've let go of the restlessness that has been present for a few days – because now they know what's happening.

And we feel it too. There's something very beautiful in that.

It's evenings like these that remind us why we love this life. ABOUT US

To be close to the dogs, to follow their dynamics, to see how they change together. To sit with Mys and Fia in the evening sun and feel how everything changes and grows.

Now, a few weeks of anticipation await. And we promise – we'll take you on the journey.
