The weather has gotten cooler here in Dalarna, which both the dogs and we appreciate. At the same time, the puppies continue to grow — only five days old, so small they can neither see nor hear yet, but they still find their mother in the whelping box with impressive determination. And next week, several Husky-Hiking tours await, booked by guests from different parts of the world.
After a period of really warm days, the temperature has dropped, and it makes a big difference in the dog yard. The dogs are livelier, more willing to work, and enjoy being able to move around without getting hot. We’ve been able to run the whole pack with the cart again, and it’s clear how much they love to stretch out and work together.
The puppies are now five days old — tiny, soft, and completely dependent on Mys. It's fascinating to see how nature works: They can't see. They can't hear. Yet they purposefully crawl forward, finding her warmth, her scent, and her teat.
Every day they get a little stronger, a little faster, a little more stable in their tiny bodies. It's a quiet, beautiful development happening in the background of everything else we do.
And then we have something to look forward to: next week we have several booked Husky-Hiking tours, including guests from international locations who want to experience nature and the dogs here with us. It feels both fun and honorable that people travel far to share a moment with the pack.
This is our everyday life right now — cooler days, small puppies growing, and a pack working well together. And we look forward to a week filled with new encounters and adventures.
