Sista dagarna före EM

The final days before the European Championship

Early Wednesday morning we are heading to the EC (IFSS European Championship) in Gävle. Finally, it is time to measure ourselves against the best teams in Europe and see how well our training plan for the dogs has worked. It is going to be incredibly exciting.

We have two training sessions left here at home, but they will be on the lighter side. Yesterday we did a speed session, and when I compare it with previous times on the same stretch, it looks very promising. I actually haven't run that fast there before, which of course feels positive ahead of the competition.

At the same time, you never know how it will go. Even if our dogs feel strong and are performing really well, other teams could be even faster. That is exactly what makes the sport so fun and exciting. On the starting line, everything starts from scratch.

Before we can head off, there are quite a few preparations remaining here at home. The equipment needs to be checked, harnesses washed, packing organized, and all necessary documents printed. In addition, various forms need to be filled out on the organizer's website. And perhaps most importantly, the dog sitter needs to be informed and ready before we leave the kennel.

Our starts at the EC

Annika competes on Saturday and Sunday in DR4 RNB together with:

Pär competes on Thursday and Friday in DS2 RNB together with:

I will probably not blog anymore this week, but for those of you who want to follow our EC adventure, I will likely update both Instagram and Facebook during the competition days.

The event starts with an opening ceremony at the City Hall steps in Gävle if you want to cheer on SWEDEN

When we get home, you are as always very welcome to book one of our activities and meet the dogs at home.

We hope you want to join us on the journey towards the EC. Keep your fingers crossed for both the two- and four-legged participants!
