Today, we finally welcomed the winners of our competition, together with Lustigsgården in Rättvik. A wonderful group who arrived with both anticipation and a little nervousness — just as most people do before we head out on the trail. There's something beautiful about that initial hesitation, before the dogs take over and lead the way.
And it didn't take long. As soon as the dogs focused and started working their way forward on the trail, the adventure truly began. The rain fell softly over the forest, but no one cared. On the contrary — it gave the trip a special feeling. The scent of wet moss, the muffled silence, the dogs' energy… everything became a little more intense, a little more alive.
We worked our way up the mountain together, step by step, and the guests quickly found their rhythm with the dogs. It's always so wonderful to see how the collaboration develops, how uncertainty turns into joy, and how the forest works its magic.
Since it was raining, we took our fika break in the fire hut. It's one of those places that feels made for days like this — a roof over your head, but still a real campfire spreading warmth and calm. We drank coffee, talked, laughed, and let the rain patter on the roof.
Before it was time to head back to Lustigsgården, we also managed some puppy cuddles. It was the perfect ending — soft paws, small noses, and that warmth only puppies can give.
