Full fart mot SM och höstens äventyr

Full speed towards the World Championships and the autumn adventures

The past few weeks have been unusually busy here. Sometimes life brings both joys and challenges at the same time, and then certain things take up a little more space than others. That's why it has been a bit quieter here on the blog than usual.

At the same time, the dogs have kept us busy. We recently went out and competed at EM, and now we are setting our sights on the next big goal, namely SM.

Ahead of SM, there will be some changes in the teams. I will be running with Mys instead of Sisu, while Pär will be running with Boss instead of Maze. It should be really exciting to see how the teams work together and how the dogs tackle the task.

Alongside the competitions, we are also starting to approach one of my absolute favorite times of the year. Soon we will reopen for our cart rides, and with the autumn darkness will also come our appreciated evening rides.

Driving a dog sled cart in the beam of headlamps gives dog driving a completely different dimension. When darkness falls over the forest, the experience changes. The dogs' focus, the sound of paws on the path, and the feeling of traveling through the forest become something quite special.

And if we are a little lucky, we can catch a glimpse of some of the forest's wild inhabitants. Sometimes it is just a pair of eyes reflecting the beam of the headlamp from the forest edge. Moose, roe deer, and other animals sometimes stand still and watch us as we pass through the darkness. It is moments like these that make every ride unique.

Now SM is waiting first, and after that we look forward to welcoming both returning and new guests for another season filled with dogs, nature experiences, and adventures in the forests of Dalarna.

If you want to follow us on the SM adventure, I will try to update everything on Instagram

See you out on the trails!

Welcome to us Annika and Pär
