Autumn has arrived in Dalarna, and with it come those perfect days when the air is crisp, the ground is soft, and the puppies get to run free and discover the world.

Yesterday, we took a trip up to the clearing, one of our favorite spots where the puppies can romp, sniff, and explore everything that comes their way.
They ran around with their little noses in the air, chasing each other between the stumps and pouncing on every new scent as if it were treasure. It is one of the most beautiful things about following puppies – seeing how their courage grows, how curiosity takes over, and how the world opens up step by step.
When we had reached the top, we suddenly heard a squeaking that didn't sound like ordinary play-squeaks. We turned around – and saw that the puppies were covered in wasps. They had sniffed out a ground wasp nest, and the wasps had crawled into their thick fur.
We ran over as fast as we could. One by one, we removed the wasps that had burrowed into their fur. The puppies were scared and whining, but thanks to their thick coats, we didn't know if they had been stung or just frightened.
Once all the wasps were gone, we carried the puppies all the way home. We put them in a crate for absolute stillness, gave them water, and kept a close eye on them to see if anyone would swell up or show signs of needing veterinary care. That hour felt long – but the puppies calmed down, breathed normally, and seemed to be doing well.
After a while, we were able to release them back to Mys. She had heard the squeaking from the kennel and had been worried, so when the puppies returned, there was quite a kiss-fest. She went over them one by one, sniffing, licking, and comforting – just as a secure mother does.

It was a day we won't soon forget. Nature is amazing, but sometimes also unpredictable. And that is exactly why we are always close by, always prepared, and always ready to take care of our little adventurers.
